The first politician that I ever remember meeting was Gov. Kay Orr. There was a local event in Lakeside that the governor was attending, and we were able to skip school for a bit to go up and meet her. I have photographic evidence of it somewhere, but considering the Boss Man’s Wife had control of my hairstyle, that evidence may stay hidden.
